![]() Very poorly made steps rectifiedClient had set of steps made in rental property, very shoddy workmanship and incorrect materials used - such as expanding foam to stick down slabs instead of mortar. Steps were not straight or level and tread depth was too wide | ![]() Very poorly made steps rectifiedView of steps from above, you can see yellow expanding foam sticking out of joints . Bricks on side not fixed in place i put these there to make it look better - previous contractor left bare brick there. | ![]() Very poorly made steps rectifiedTo rectify steps I had to: level top step as one slab was higher than other causing a trip hazard Use petrol cutter to decrease tread depth of bottom step, could not rectify tread of top step as no room to modify. ![]() Very poorly made steps rectifiedoverall pic once steps were finished. Must say this is not my best work as had to find way to make a bad job by someone else look better. I am a firm believer that you should not try to cut corners and if you are going to do something do it properly first time as it will always cost more to get a bad job rectified | ![]() Removing old door &fitting fire doorClient asked us to remove and dispose of old door, supply and fit new fire rated door with auto closer as per council regs | ![]() Removing old door &fitting fire doorSupplied new fire door with hinges and door furniture as well as auto closer. ![]() Always leave a clean and tidy site! One of my top priorities, apart from completing jobs in a timely and professional manner, is to make sure a site is cleaner when I leave than it was when I arrived!! A pet hate of mine is messy tradesmen! | ![]() Painting a room for a clientrepainted room in a house for a client. Client requested grey feature wall with magnolia on other 3 walls | ![]() Painting a room for a clientthe finished article, first cleaned walls with sugar soap, then filled and sanded any cracks and finally two coats of the clients desired paint | ![]() Painting a room for a clientimportant to note that generally my painting and decorating is great - my cutting in is a weakness i.e. finishing off between walls and ceiling and walls and skirting as this has to be done freehand without masking tape and my freehand painting require improvement. However my charges are much lower than a professional painter and decorators for exactly this reason. you get what you pay for. | ![]() Painting Metal StripPainting an Aluminium strip at the top of a clients house to give frontage a uniform appearance. |
